Not every country issues visas online. For 26 of the countries on ConfirmVisa, the tourist visa is issued by an embassy or a visa application centre. These applications take longer than an e-Visa and ask more of you, so it pays to start early.

What is different about an embassy visa

• The embassy sets the checklist. After your first documents are checked, our team tells you what else your application needs.
• Some countries need an appointment or biometrics in person. We tell you when that applies to you.
• A sticker visa is placed in the passport, so the original passport is handed in for part of the process.
• Processing is measured in weeks more often than days.
